So this week was a really short week (just one day!) but I had LOADS of fun. we went to Miller Tech High for our first workshop ever and it was awesome. We got to meet the kids involved in the Refill program and observed what a workshop is all about. This week was a bit quiet and there was a lot of documenting. Tuesday we documented everything we had written on the board (our brainstorming and goals etc.) and add the mood boards and pretty much make it one big document with links to our videos. Most of the morning was spent doing this and Chelsea and I were able to edit at the same time by creating the document in Google Documents. This week was three days long and we spent most of the week documenting. Most of Tuesday was spent finishing up more “How-To’s” for the toolkit to be used on All Around You. I wrote a “How To Conduct and Interview” and refined the other ones I’d already written by looking at the notes I had written in my notebook. This week we worked Tuesday and Thursday but only have a 2 minute interview for Thursday because there were no flip cameras. Tuesday we spent the day looking at the footage we took of the How Big Are Your Dreams program the week before. I learnt a lot about the production and editing process. It turns out there is a LOT of work involved and the more footage you have, the worse it is. I forgot to write a blog post for the first week of my internship so this one is going to deal with both weeks 1 and 2.

My first day here I must admit was a little bit daunting. I didn’t really know what to expect and was most definitely nervous as a result. That lasted all of a day and by the second day all my nerves had completely diminished. The first week lasted three days and dealt mostly with becoming more familiar with CuriousWorks and the kind of projects they do.
